  36.     B.    Product Data:  For both grid system and glass paver.  Indicate materials, sizes, shapes, thicknesses, and finishes.  Include installation and assembly instructions.

  41. 1.5    DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING

  43.     A.    Store materials in dry place, off the ground, where temperature will not exceed 90 degrees F (32 degrees C).

  45.     B.    Handle material in manner that will prevent damage to finished surfaces.  Do not install scratched or damaged components.

  68.     A.    Glass Block Support Grid:  Field assembled, extruded aluminum two-way hollow structural grid, sized to fit glass pavers with one paver to a module, and perimeter frame.
  69.         1.    Aluminum:  ASTM B 221, 6063-T6 alloy.
  70.         2.    Finish:  Clear anodized matte finish.

  72.     B.    Glass Pavers:  Solid glass units, nominal 6 inches (152 mm) square by 1 inch (25 mm) thick.

  86. PART 3    EXECUTION

  88. 3.1    EXAMINATION
  89.  
  90.     A.    Verify applicable field dimensions and adjust as necessary to accommodate frame.
  91.  
  92.     B.    Examine supporting structure and correct any conditions that are not in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions or approved shop drawings.
  93.  
  94. 3.2    INSTALLATION
  95.  
  96.     A.    Install grid system and glass pavers according to manufacturer's instructions.
  97.  
  98.     B.    Set grid frame so that top surface of grid and pavers is flush with adjoining floor surfaces, unless otherwise indicated.

  100.     C.    Insert paver units into paver boots and set in grid modules.
  101.  
  102.     D.    See Section 07900 for sealant installation requirements.

  104.     E.    Apply sealant around exterior face of glass pavers completely filling channel.  Tool sealant flush with surface.

  108.     G.    Apply sealant between perimeter frame and adjoining construction.

  110. 3.3    CLEANING
  111.  
  112.     A.    Clean exposed surfaces of aluminum grid with clean, soft cloth and mild hand soap using gentle rubbing action.  Do not use abrasive or solvent type cleaners, detergents, or paint removers.
  113.  
  114.     B.    Remove labels from glass pavers and clean with soft cloth and water.
  115.  
  116. 3.4    PROTECTION
  117.  
  118.     A.    After installation, protect installed work from damage caused by subsequent operations at project site.
